I write posts about everything related to travel, my experiences, my dream destinations, or my research projects about places in blog post form. I started this in 2017, but only posted a few times. Re-discovering this page in 2019, I hope to let it further flourish by posting more.

I am a blogger from New Zealand. In New Zealand, one of our official languages is Maori. My blog name Tumeke Traveller is part Maori. Tumeke is a Maori word that basically means, cool or awesome.

Because no overseas trips are planned any time soon, I will be posting about local travelling I get up to. I hope you stick around and read some of my blog posts. Don't forget to subscribe!

Tube Tips

Tubes and subways can be very stressful. Here are some tips to help.  source: Wikipedia #1: Keep to the left, when using escalators. Unless you are walking up/ down the escalators then keep to the left, this makes for a painful trip up, or down. Standing on the left also makes you not stick out so much, because most locals tend to stick to the left, and, only a traveler knows that scammers and pickpockets know who to target. . . . Tourists. #2 just as important, don't lug luggage. Luggage is just hassle awaiting.  Tubes are crowded enough as it is, bringing an extra bag, especially a suitcase, is just asking for hard work. Because the tube station is a fast acting, speedy, area you have to be fast, and, luggage is not speedy. Second to last is to use one of my favorite apps, City Mapper. Louvre Museum

Located on the banks of the Seine River in Paris, France is one of the Worlds most renowned museums, Louvre Museum! Immerse yourself with 15 acres of historic monument at the worlds (consistently) most visited Museum. History: Originally the Louvre museum was built as a fortress to protect the Parisians against the possible invasion from the north.
