Tube Tips

Tubes and subways can be very stressful. Here are some tips to help.

#1: Keep to the left, when using escalators. Unless you are walking up/ down the escalators then keep to the left, this makes for a painful trip up, or down. Standing on the left also makes you not stick out so much, because most locals tend to stick to the left, and, only a traveler knows that scammers and pickpockets know who to target. . . . Tourists.

#2 just as important, don't lug luggage. Luggage is just hassle awaiting.  Tubes are crowded enough as it is, bringing an extra bag, especially a suitcase, is just asking for hard work. Because the tube station is a fast acting, speedy, area you have to be fast, and, luggage is not speedy.

Second to last is to use one of my favorite apps, City Mapper. I highly recommend using city mapper as it is so convenient, especially to tourists. City mapper is a very simple and easy way to navigate your way around not only London, but Europe as a whole.

Not as obvious but still important is to stay hydrated. Hydration helps you stay cool, in the hot and messy tubes.

Keeping to the left, not bringing too much luggage, using City Mapper, and, staying hydrated are key tips to improving your trip, using the tubes.
