Coming in with a 1.49 million people population, Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand. The diverse culture you find in Auckland makes it feel as if it is a whole different country compared to  the rest of New Zealand.

 It is a great destination for a family get away, or even just  a solo holiday, but here today I will be giving you a guide to a family trip in Auckland, New Zealand.

 

If you fancy an adrenalin rush, and, a ton of fun, Rainbow's end is the place for you! Not only do they offer amazing rides, they also offer a number of food outlets for the adults who would rather watch. For the children they have kidz kingdom with rides for the younger ones.  Costing $56 per adult, and $46 per child it really isn't too overly priced for an awesome day out.

If you cant handle the adrenalin at rainbows end or its just not your thing, don't fear because next up on the list is Kelly Tarltons Sea life Aquarium. Right at the fingertips of Auckland; Kelly Tarltons is located only 10 minutes drive from downtown Auckland . Ranked at 19 out of 268 by trip advisor, If your kids love sea life this aquarium sure will put a smile on their faces!

 Have you heard of a Galapagos tortoise? Or have you ever seen a Serval? At the Auckland zoo you can see those, and more! Auckland Zoo is well signposted both east and westbound on the North Western motorway, making it very easy to get there, but if you do have difficulty finding your way  you can either use their helpful website or ask a local to point you in the right direction. Auckland Zoo is whole family fun, you can make memories there, that you and your children will cherish for years to come!

If animals, sea life, or theme parks aren't your thing maybe you will enjoy Karekare Beach, in West Auckland. Scored in the top 10 of New Zealand beaches ( by CNN travel ) you are guaranteed to enjoy your time there. Remember to slip slop and slap your sunblock on because you don't want the beautiful sun ruin your beautiful day out in one of New Zealand's wonderful beaches!

Tube Tips

Tubes and subways can be very stressful. Here are some tips to help.  source: Wikipedia #1: Keep to the left, when using escalators. Unless you are walking up/ down the escalators then keep to the left, this makes for a painful trip up, or down. Standing on the left also makes you not stick out so much, because most locals tend to stick to the left, and, only a traveler knows that scammers and pickpockets know who to target. . . . Tourists. #2 just as important, don't lug luggage. Luggage is just hassle awaiting.  Tubes are crowded enough as it is, bringing an extra bag, especially a suitcase, is just asking for hard work.
